Independent agency rapid solutions associated into one event by origin-time and epicentral proximity (pronto's association rule, not an agency standard), then compared on magnitude, depth and hypocentre. Magnitude spread is expressed as an energy ratio via Gutenberg-Richter log10(E)=4.8+1.5M. Reports disagreement between sources; it does not adjudicate between them or produce a preferred solution.
